Location of Skin Care by Sanna

I just found out that Skin Care by Sanna is going to be offering discounts on new clients- so now it'll be less expensive.

See there are ways to save and an upside to people tightening their wallets.

Ahead of the curve

I am finding that lately, I am ahead of the curve for everything. My fashion sense is becoming absolutely impeccable as I have learned that what I was wearing months ago is now the new huge trend- I'm such a trendsetter. Speaking of which, here is another Pacific Beach find. . . the Buffalo exchange on Garnet.

I have known that this place existed but never waltzed in there while on my way to the gym and what a mistake that was. They have True Religion jeans, Paige Denim, Sevens, Rock and Republic etc. Hello, recession- get in there and grab the goods for next to nothing.

My point, which comes much later in all of my rants is this. . . I just read an article on NBC San Diego.com and lo and behold, 5 days ago they were writing about spa places and the places one must go to for facials during the winter months. Umm, I blogged about that 5 days before you wrote your article. Such a forward thinker. Sadly, they forgot to mention the soon to-be famous Sanna Sammons who gives you the treatment without killing your wallet. Viva great finds!

Invest in yourself in these hard times!!!

All of this talk about our economic crisis has gotten me a little down hearted and rightfully so, might I add. I know it is effecting all of us and our wallets!! So, how then, in a time like this, can we actually pamper ourselves and not feel guilty when we reach to pay and then tip??? I must interject a side note here: I am a little bit of a girlie girl in that I love manicures, pedicures, eyebrow waxing, shopping, delicious and nutritious food, and do have, if I might say so myself, great taste in all, but not limited to, the aforementioned.

Anywho, here's my point. We're all trying to stretch a dollar these days and have to skimp on things we used to splurge on. Hence we have quite the conundrum: how do we invest in ourselves when we can hardly invest in the bank? We MUST make ourselves a priority and take care of our heart, lungs, brain, legs, joints and we CANNOT neglect the largest organ in our body- our skin. I had to do it. . . get a facial and so I did with the most lovely woman you would ever want to give you a facial right down the road from my house. Sanna Sammons is her name and she greets you so warmly when you walk in. I was expected to be torn to pieces as that gross blackhead mess oozed out of my pores, but she was gentle and the music, armoatherapy and candles made me feel quite euphoric. Skin Care by Sanna (as her business is called) is reasonably priced and such an experience. My face feels rejuvenated, hydrated (still, one week later) and my complexion so much clearer. I know that by doing this, I'm saving myself big bucks in botox down the road when wrinkled skin becomes my daily dread.

I strongly urge you to check her out if you can, relax and unwind and part with a few dollars to invest in yourself! It was amazing and my face- like a baby's bottom:)

An Introduction

Hi. My name is Alison Todd, formerly Miller, but I was married recently. Here's the deal. . . blogging has been a 'thing' for years now. I never really got into it. Why? I don't really know. It seems like those who picked up on it while it was the new thing are now getting publicity for being such great bloggers. How did I miss that boat? It can be used for so many things these days; i.e. a way to vent and lament daily woes, a journal of a trip for friends and family to see, a place to show future employers who you are and what you're capable of, but oh so importantly, it has become the 'go-to' place for information on the web. Who knows, maybe google will one day find my blog. I'm rambling. . .

Back on track: I am starting now, finally and I can't really say why. At least I hope to help some people in the Pacific Beach/San Diego area on places to dine, to be entertained, to sight see, take a walk etc. I am a newbie to the area myself and as I search for places and things to do to make this gorgeous area feel like home, I will share with the public. It might also lead some potential job employers asking for an interview- reach for the stars and land on the moon- right?
